When Coretta Scott King became widowed after an assassin's bullet murdered her husband, the iconic Martin Luther King Jr, it propelled her voice, activism and leadership onto the international stage. What was it like being the wife of such a famous leader? How did she cope with his loss whilst being thrust into the public spotlight? In the days following the killing, Coretta continued his work taking his place at planned marches and speaking engagements. This new solo woman play opens with Coretta giving a speech to university students. Written and directed by Christopher Tajah.
