Where are you from? The age-old question that mixed-raced people just love to answer. Starting a family is always hard, it has added challenges when you’re figuring out "the right way" to parent your mixed-raced child. Now the microaggressions and racism she experienced in the past are very much her problem, as she tries to protect her child from the way that she has been seen. Constrictor discusses family and international communities. From Malacca and Brazil to Singapore, then Fremantle, New York, and now Edinburgh, the family that we choose to support us will see us.
