1955. Into a square little American town rides a guitar playin’, motorcycle ridin’ Elvis character who changes everything and everyone in this hip-swivelling musical comedy. Nelson Youth Theatre (New Zealand), who in 2019 'Embodied the true spirit of the Fringe' (London Times), will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with a script that’s packed to the seams with comic one-liners and classic Elvis rock‘n’roll hits like Jailhouse Rock, Teddy Bear, Hound Dog, Devil in Disguise, Heartbreak Hotel, It’s Now or Never, One Night With You and All Shook Up.

BOMBSHELL follows three sparkly Vegas showgirls who put up environmentally-conscious cabaret acts in a rundown nightclub called Club Fistfight. Despite their best attempts at making global warming hot, the club is closing. For their final performance, Scarlett, Jane and Eliza decide to tell the audience a love story. But as the last show at Club Fistfight reaches a peak, Scarlett takes extreme action when a shocking secret is revealed. BOMBSHELL is about how far we'll go for love, for each other and for our planet, and who is really responsible for the end of the world.

Marlin, an overprotective clownfish, lives with his kid Nemo who longs to explore the world beyond their home. Featuring memorable songs such as Just Keep Swimming and Go with the Flow, this show will delight audiences young and old. The book is adapted by Lindsay Anderson with musical arrangements by Myrna Conn. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
